Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to feature in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again?

Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to feature again in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe in Singham Again. This comes after the director made the announcement that Deepika Padukone will join Ajay Devgn in the much-awaited actioner as Lady Singham. Reports claim that Kareena will reprise her role in the upcoming film, after she starred alongside Ajay in Singham Returns as the protagonist’s love interest, Avni Kamat.

“Kareena has been roped in as the female lead. Details regarding her character are being kept under wraps. The film is expected to go on floors by the year-end, and the team is excited to have the lead pair back,” reported Mid-Day quoting a source. No official confirmation has been given by the actor yet. There is no information on whether she will reprise her role or play a new character.

Rohit ventured into the cop universe with his 2011 film Singham, which was followed by its sequel Singham Returns in 2014. The universe also includes Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba and Akshay Kumar-starrer Sooryavanshi.

In December, the director confirmed that he will introduce Deepika in the franchise’s upcoming film. “In the next film we are making in the Singham universe, Deepika will be seen as lady Singham. She is my lady cop in Singham Again. We are working together next year,” he said.

Kareena was last seen alongside Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor will feature next in Rhea Kapoor’s The Crew, alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu.
