Kareena Kapoor Khan: Made it so clear that I am not open to action that people are now scared to offer an action movie

In her more than 20-year career in Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor Khan hasn't dabbled in the action genre. But the actor claims that voicing Black Widow in the Hindi version of Marvel Wastelanders has whetted her appetite for it. She thinks that action movies about women will be made because many female actors want to be in them.

Kareena told PTI that there are so many performers here playing thrilling roles. Maybe now people will watch more action movies with female leads. But since she is constantly hesitant to take action, the actor personally hasn't done anything like that, like be a cool assassin or spy. Kareena is not sure if she could take action, but she is confident that she would be competent. One never knows; she is speaking now; perhaps later, one can never know.

Kareena said that she didn't want to do action roles at first because they required her to do stunts. She is known for her genre-defying performances in films like Jab We Met, Chameli, the Golmaal series, Udta Punjab, and Laal Singh Chaddha.

People are now afraid to offer her an action movie since she made it quite apparent that she doesn't enjoy action. Kareena has always been afraid to use a harness or perform acrobatics. Everything is now carried out so unbelievably well.

Kareena and her actor husband, Saif Ali Khan, will each play the legendary Marvel heroes Black Widow and Peter Quill in two episodes of the Hindi version of Marvel's audio series Wastelanders.

The actor claimed that while she is honoured that Indian actors are given the chance to work in Hollywood, she isn't actively hunting for employment there because her children, Taimur and Jeh, are still very little.

People from here are travelling to the West in the hopes that many actors from the West will visit India, in which case we will both be honoured and thrilled. Working with Ryan Gosling is something she doesn't mind. Kareena has never aspired to be a Hollywood actor. She is too established here, and her sons are too young. When she got married, everything occurred pretty quickly. It is now impossible to separate from them, but Marvel has arrived.
