Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals Aamir Khan was shattered

Kareena joined actors like Vicky Kaushal, Shabana Azmi, Rajkummar Rao, Pratik Gandhi, Kani Kusruti, and Anna Ben for the roundtable discussion. During the conversation, the host recalled her old statement that she reached out to Aamir and Advait after the film flopped, and told them that she doesn't judge her friendships or relationships over box office failures. Bebo, who played the role of Rupa in Laal Singh Chaddha, said that she is the 'most proudest' that they made the film. She went on to call Laal Singh Chaddha a 'beautiful, honest' film. She even lauded Aamir by calling him a 'stalwart and legend'.

Kareena went on to reveal that Aamir was shattered after the film didn't work at the box office. She added, "He met me somewhere and said, 'Picture nahi chali humari na, tu baat toh karegi na mujhse?'" The actress expressed her gratitude instead and told him, "I am the most proud that you gave me Rupa because I feel what Rupa has done more for me than what a Singham (Again) can do."

Further, Shabana Azmi asked her to elaborate more on the same, the Chameli actress said that her character Rupa was beautifully written by Advait and she just loved playing it. She went on to say, "We didn't make that movie thinking that it would make Rs 500 crore. I think it was just made with all heart. Everybody gave their best." Kareena Kapoor also recalled that she got pregnant with Jeh right in the middle of the shoot. 60% of the shoot was wrapped up when a petrified Kareena revealed her pregnancy news to Aamir. But interestingly, Mr. Perfectionist was happy for her and Saif Ali Khan, and he was highly supportive back then. Bebo revealed that Aamir said, "I’m happy for you. We’ll wait for you, and we’ll finish the movie together. It made me realise there are people who truly value you and stand by your decisions."
