Kareena Kapoor Khan has managed to win everybody’s hearts from time-to-time. The actress has certain thought processes that simply wins over people. The recent example is that where she teaches her kids about homosexual marriage. Whether from the LGBTQIA+ community or not, internet is impressed with how the Bollywood actress handled the matter.
What did Kareena say?
Kareena was asked how would she tell her child why Uncle Jack is married to a man. She responded to that saying that she explains to her kids (Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh) how love has no boundaries and it doesn’t come in a particular gender, size or form. “We can not try to put it in the fact that Amma has to love Abba. It's fine. Sometimes, Jack can love John, and I don't know, Trisha can love Prisha. That's just the way it is. Love has no boundaries,” she said during her interview with The Indian Express’ Express Adda.
Netizens are in love with her
On hearing her answer, the internet is left impressed. Netizens who are from the community and even those outside it have lauded her for the answer. “We have a long way to go but we’re definitely getting there,” one user wrote. “As a member of the community, I thank Kareena for saying this,” another shared. “In the current political climate making a statement like this is very ballsy of her,” the third user wrote.
Showing her support for the community even before it was considered cool
Many have pointed out how Kareena has always stood up for the LGBTQIA+ community. She had previously shown her support by saying ‘Love is love,’ which is what every person from the community follows and hopes the world understands. The actress had shared that she and her husband Saif Ali Khan has friends from the community across the globe. Back in 2021, she had said that the two talk to their kids about the issues that the community faces and she hopes that is what parents do – guide their kids in these matters.
