Kareena Kapoor recalls having a discussion with Saif Ali Khan prior to their ‘interfaith marriage with a 10-year age gap’

It is now easy to be a Bollywood celebrity, especially if you belong to a highly influential family. This statement can be clearly felt by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, who time and again receive the media’s attention – sometimes even for negative reasons.

Kareena’s Controversial Personal Life

Recently, during an interaction with The Indian Express, the 42-year-old Bollywood diva recalled the time she was about to get married to Saif Ali Khan. From being trolled to marrying a person who is 10 years older than her to being threatened for having an interfaith marriage, she has (unfortunately) faced it all. Not only this, but many media reports at that time believed that Kareena 'ditched’ actor Shahid Kapoor and decided to marry Saif for ‘money and fame’. Saif, for the uninitiated, is the nawab of the Pataudi family.

Speaking to the news portal, Kareena said, “When has age ever mattered? He is hotter than ever. I am happy I am 10 years younger; he should be worried. No one would say he has turned 53. Age does not matter... what matters is respect and love and the fact that we have fun with each other.”

Kareena added, “We spend so much time discussing interfaith (relationships). So much energy, so much that they are 10 years apart. The important thing is to have fun. The most important thing between Saif and me is that we like each other and enjoy our company. How should it matter what faith he follows or what his age is that isn’t even a point of discussion.”

Kareena and Saif have been happily married to each other since 2012. They both are blessed with two kids namely Taimur (who is 6 years old) and Jehangir (who is 3 years old).

On the professional front, Kareena will soon headline Sujoy Ghosh’s mystery thriller ‘Jaane Jaan’ opposite Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.
