Tamil superstar Suriya’s Hindi debut is an eagerly anticipated project. Ever since the news of the Jai Bhim star being a part of director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming magnum opus Karna was out, fans have been eagerly waiting for further updates from the team. Now, author and screenwriter for the film, Anand Neelakandan, has revealed some inside details about the film.
In a recent interview, acclaimed author and screenwriter Anand Neelakandan revealed that Karna will be a two-part film and the first installment is in the pre-production stage. The writer also revealed that he has written the script and screenplay for the film. When asked about the speculated cast, Neelakandan said that he cannot reveal such vital details until there is an official confirmation from the team. However, the writer hinted that a Tamil star would be playing the lead. For the uninitiated, Suriya and Janhvi Kapoor have been reportedly roped in to play the lead roles in Karna.
Karna is a mythological film that will mark Tamil star Suriya’s Hindi film debut. According to reports, the actor is set to play Karna, the valiant warrior prince and elder half-brother of the Pandavas, from the mythological epic Mahabharat. There have been no speculations so far about Janhvi Kapoor’s character in the film, but it is assumed that she will be playing Karna’s wife, Vrushali. Academy Award winner AR Rahman is rumoured to be in talks to compose the music for the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial.
Touted to be bilingual, the eagerly awaited project will be made simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil and will be dubbed in Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. According to sources, the film will be made on a massive budget and official announcements are expected to be made soon. According to reports, the film will have some of the finest talents as part of the epic drama’s crew.
