Karna - Suriya to romance Janhvi Kapoor in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s film?

Suriya, the celebrated Tamil actor, is going through an excellent phase in his acting career. The National award-winner has a massive line-up of exciting projects in his kitty, including the upcoming fantasy film Kanguva, and period action drama Vaadivaasal. As per the recent updates, Suriya is now set to join hands with celebrated Bollywood filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, in his debut Hindi project Karna.

The movie, which is touted to be an out-and-out period action drama based on epic Mahabharata, will feature the Soorarai Pottru actor in the titular role. Now, the recent grapevine suggests that Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has joined the star cast of Karna.

Suriya to romance Janhvi Kapoor in Karna?

If the recent updates are to be believed, Suriya is set to romance popular actress Janhvi Kapoor in the upcoming Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial. The grapevine suggests that the Devara actress is already in talks to play the female lead in the film, but she has not signed the dotted line. If things fall in place, the young actress might come on board for the project very soon. However, things will be confirmed only after the makers officially launch the project.

Karna – Here's what we know

For the uninitiated, Suriya is set to play the mythological character Karna, the extremely talented warrior and elder half-brother of Pandavas, in the upcoming Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial. Nothing much has been revealed about Janhvi Kapoor’s character in the highly anticipated project. But, it is safe to assume that she might be appearing as his love interest-turned-wife Vrushali in the film. AR Rahman, on the other hand, is in talks to compose music.

The highly anticipated film, which will made in Hindi and Tamil simultaneously, will also get dubbed in Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada, languages. Karna is expected to hit the theatres as two parts and is made with a massive budget. As per the reports, the pre-production works of the film have been in progress for quite some time now. Some of the finest talents of Bollywood and South cinema are expected to join the cast and crew of the film.
