Karthi overjoyed to meet WWE star John Cena: 'Thanks for being kind and warm'

Tamil actor Karthi on Friday met WWE superstar John Cena during an event in Hyderabad, and he couldn't contain his excitement. Sharing a photo of their meeting, Karthi expressed his admiration for Cena's remarkable ability to make everyone feel special in mere moments.

In his Instagram post, Karthi conveyed his delight, saying, "A great pleasure meeting you @johncena. Thank you for being so kind and warm. It’s wonderful how you could make everyone feel special in those few minutes. Hustle Loyalty Respect - felt all of that."

The WWE Superstar Spectacle returns to India

For the uninitiated, Karthi is the brand ambassador for WWE South, and he took part in a commercial shoot in Hyderabad with WWE superstars. The WWE Superstar Spectacle is taking place in India after a gap of six years. The fans of the live event can see some of the biggest names of the sport, including John Cena, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and others in action in this edition. The last time this event happened in India was in 2017.

The WWE Superstar Spectacle will be held at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. And it can also be streamed live on SonyLIV.

On the career front

Karthi, meanwhile, is basking in the back-to-back success of his movies. Last year, he had three big releases, including Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan I and Sardar. The release of all these movies was earlier delayed owing to the pandemic. However, they all ended up becoming big hits at the box office upon release.

This year he was seen in Ponniyin Selvan II. Although the movie fell short of overtaking the collection of its predecessor, it still emerged as one of the biggest hits in Tamil this year.

Karthi is now busy shooting for Japan, which is directed by Raju Murugan. He also has Sardar 2, and Kaithi 2 in the pipeline.
