Karthikeya 2: Here’s a sneak-peek into the pivotal characters from the mystical thriller starring Nikhil, Anupama Parameswaran

Nikhil, who’s been out of action after his thriller Arjun Suravaram, has a flurry of releases this year. While 18 Pages, Spy and Karthikeya 2 have confirmed their releases in 2022 already, the actor’s film with Sudheer Varma too may stream on a major OTT platform shortly. No prizes for guessing that Karthikeya 2 is the most-awaited film among the lot.

Karthikeya 2 is the sequel to the supernatural thriller Karthikeya that hit theatres in 2014 and emerged a surprise success. Written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Karthikeya 2, set to hit theatres on July 22 across all South Indian lunges and Hindi, also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Anupam Kher, Srinivas Reddy, Tulasi, Adithya Menon, Viva Harsha, Venkat and Praveen in crucial roles.

The makers of Karthikeya 2 today released a series of character posters from the film featuring Nikhil, Anupama, Adithya Menon, Viva Harsha, Anupam Kher and Srinivas Reddy. While Nikhil plays the titular role, Anupama is cast as Mugdha and Anupam Kher as Dhanvantri. Srinivas Reddy, Viva Harsha and Adithya Menon play Sadananda, Suleman and Santanu respectively.

The mythical names seem a perfect fit in the universe of the ‘mystical adventure’ and the diversity in the characterisation grabs your attention. A few weeks ago, the motion poster of the film with Nikhil, Anupama and Srinivas Reddy on a boat, earned impressive responses from crowds too. Karthikeya 2 is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts.

Cinematographed by Karthik Ghattamneni, the film has music by Kaala Bhairava. Sahi Suresh is the production designer.
