Karthikeya 2 release date: When and where to watch Nikhil Siddhartha, Anupama Parameswaran's thriller

Karthikeya, the supernatural thriller starring Nikhil, Swathi Reddy, Rao Ramesh and Jaya Prakash in key roles, was a game changer for most of the cast, crew involved with it. The film paved a solid foundation for the career of its writer, director Chandoo Mondeti, lent credibility to the script choices of Nikhil and introduced a quality cinematographer like Karthik Gattamneni to Telugu cinema. 

The lead actor, director, cinematographer and a bulk of the Karthikeya team is now reuniting for its sequel Karthikeya 2. Anupama Parameswaran plays the female lead in Karthikeya 2, making it her second collaboration with Nikhil after 18 Pages. Karthikeya 2, which also has Anupam Kher essaying a crucial role, commenced its shoot a few months ago in 2021. Comemmorating its producer Abhishek Agarwal's birthday yesterday, the makers announced the film's release date. 

Karthikeya 2 will hit theatres across the globe on July 22. The team tweeted, "The date is locked to enter the mystical world of Lord Sri Krishna with #Karthikeya2. Bringing you a GRAND BIG SCREEN EXPERIENCE on July 22nd. @actor_Nikhil @anupamahere @chandoomondeti @AbhishekOfficl @kaalabhairava7 @AnupamPKher @vishwaprasadtg @vivekkuchibotla @MayankOfficl." 

The release date announcement poster has Nikhil in the middle of a mythical land where a group of rocks together form a silheoutte of Lord Krishna. TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory is another producer for the film. Kaala Bhairava scores the music for the same. It's not known if Swathi Reddy will have a role in Karthikeya 2. The film is edited by Goutham Nerusu and has production design by Sahi Suresh. ZEE5 has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film.
