Kartik Aaryan has spoken out about the film industry's miscommunication. According to the actor, it is very frequent in the industry and can lead to job loss. Kartik left Dharma Productions' Dostana 2, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor, last year. Several reports claimed that his departure was caused by a rift between him and the film's producer, Karan Johar.
Kartik went on to say that, despite the miscommunication, he believes the industry is in a good place. During an interaction with Miss Malini, the actor said that in their field, miscommunication is very common. It occurs not only in one industry but in all industries. This can be beneficial at times, but it can also result in one losing their job. However, the actor believes the industry is in a good place right now, possibly because of OTT. He no longer thinks about anything but the industry's expansion.
Kartik also stated that despite not being from a film family, he does not feel like an outsider in the industry. He explained that in any production house, he doesn't feel like an outsider. Everyone is pleased with his work, and one can sense it as soon as they walk into the room. Kartik will determine whether or not he wants to work with them once he understands that.
The actor recently discussed his rumoured spat with Karan Johar, which allegedly led to his departure from Dostana 2. He said in a group media interaction that he just focuses on his profession. That's all he has to say about it. On being prodded further, Kartik went on to say that he should take a look at his current film schedule. "What happens, at times, is people build a mountain out of a molehill," he said when questioned about rumours that a few business insiders were forming a lobby against him.
Kartik will next be seen alongside Kiara Advani in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. He's now promoting the film with Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Sanjay Mishra. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is the sequel to the famous 2007 horror comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja. The film, directed by Anees Azmee, will be released on May 20.
