Kartik Aaryan has been selected to receive the Rising Global Superstar of Indian Cinema award at the upcoming 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne
Just a few days back, we had reported about the commencement of the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), which is in its fourteenth year. We had also reported about this year is going to be extra special for the event as the organisers have decided to award Karan Johar in lieu of his remarkable journey, his visionary storytelling, and his unwavering passion for cinema.
The latest update about this year’s IFFM is that, the Gen-Next star Kartik Aaryan has been chosen to receive the Rising Global Superstar of Indian Cinema award. Speaking of his participation with IFFM 2023, Kartik said in a media statement, "I am deeply honored and grateful to the Victorian Government and the festival for this prestigious award and humbled to be celebrated at the 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. It is a tremendous privilege to receive this recognition for my work in Indian cinema. I have always believed in the power of storytelling and the ability of films to touch hearts and inspire minds. Commenting on this momentous occasion, the festival director, Mitu Bhowmick Lange said in a media statement, "We are thrilled to celebrate Kartik Aaryan at the 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. He is much loved worldwide esp in Australia and the diversity of his performances is very admirable. His contributions to Indian cinema in young generation have been exceptional. We are excited to honour him with the Rising Global Superstar Of Indian Cinema award and looking forward to host him at the event.”
Besides the award ceremony, Kartik Aaryan will also be engaged in an in-depth conversation with the well-known media person Rajeev Masand. Their discussion will be about his incredible journey of starting from humble beginnings to becoming a top rung actor. In addition to that, Moreover, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will also be showcasing film screenings of Kartik Aaryan's films including ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and others.
The said awards will be presented by the esteemed Governor of Victoria at the annual awards Gala night on August 11th. The festival promises to be a spectacular celebration of Indian cinema and culture, offering over 100 films in 20 languages , discussions, and events for film enthusiasts and the wider community.
