Kartik Aaryan is currently enjoying the success of his recently released film Chandu Champion. The actor has been receiving praise for bringing to life the real-life character of Murlikant Petkar in this Kabir Khan directorial. The actor, in a recent interview, shared his perspective on the much-talked-about debate - ‘Nepotism’. Read on!
While talking to the Humans of Bombay, the Satyaprem Ki Katha actor said that he doesn’t like talking about nepotism as a lot about it has already been said. For the uninitiated, nepotism has always been a topic of discussion among the outsiders as well as the star kids.
While saying that there's nothing more to talk about, Kartik also stated that it is the nature of the industry that cannot be changed and nobody can be blamed for the same. It eventually comes down to talent, as per the actor, and nothing beyond that matters. He further added that sometimes the chances for star kids and outsiders are not always equal and “you can’t do anything about it.”
Earlier, in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Kartik was asked about the idea of having his children and giving them the benefits of nepotism. He had said, “Abhi toh sabko outsider banna hai. Jo hain bhi wo try karte hai ki outsider hi ho. (Everybody wants to be an outsider now. Those who are from film families also try to become outsiders).”
Kartik was recently seen in Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion. The film brings on screen the real life of the legendary Murlikant Petkar who achieved global recognition. He also fought in a war against Pakistan where he was left disabled but that did not break his spirit and he rose back leaving all the pain behind.
Kartik will be next seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Triptii Dimri. The film, which is the third franchise in the hit horror comedy, also stars Vidya Balan in a pivotal role. It is directed by Anees Bazmee and is produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios.
