Kartik Aaryan on Sara Ali Khan discussing their breakup on Koffee With Karan 8: ‘We should prioritise respecting our relationships’

The recent episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8, featuring actresses Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, has garnered a lot of attention. As a guest on the Karan Johar-hosted show, Sara spoke about her alleged relationship and breakup with actor Kartika Aaryan. In response to her comments, Kartik recently said that he only likes to talk about his work, and that everyone should “respect their relationships”.

In an interview with Film Companion, Kartik was questioned about him being recurrently mentioned on Koffee With Karan. Replying to that, the actor said, “I strongly believe that when a relationship involves two individuals, discussing it shouldn’t involve the other person. We should all prioritise respecting our relationships. One thing I believe is that if a relationship is between two people, the other person should not talk about it. We should all respect our relationships.”

Kartik also stressed the importance of mutual respect in relationships, highlighting the need for discretion, especially when things don’t work out. “It’s not good for someone to speak about the relationship if things don’t work out. Par jab aap saath hote ho kisike toh you don’t imagine it to be like that. You don’t imagine ki yeh khatam ho jayega. You should respect that time, that moment. You should respect yourself also. Aap jab woh baat karte ho toh aisa nahin hai ke samne wala ek hee insaan ke baare mein woh soch raha hota hai, woh dono ke baare mein woh soch raha hota hai (When you are with someone, you don’t imagine things not working out. When you talk about it, it’s not like the other person is only thinking about one person, they are thinking about both),” he elaborated.

Rumours about Sara and Kartik’s relationship emerged during the shooting of their film Love Aaj Kal. This happened after Sara openly expressed her interest in dating Kartik on the ‘Koffee couch’. The couple is said to have broken up after the release of the film but are still in contact and are often seen attending each other’s parties.
