Kartik Aaryan said that the release of Shehzada was pushed back by a week because of Pathaan, which starred Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview, Kartik said that the decision to delay the release of Shehzada was made by the film's producers because they didn't believe it was "proper" to do so when Pathaan was performing well at the box office. Kartik also said that, as a fan of Shah Rukh, he was happy with the choice.
Shah Rukh Khan makes his comeback movie in Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, after a four-year absence. On January 25, the film was made available in theatres. John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana all play key parts in Pathaan. The story is about the main character, a spy played by Shah Rukh, who comes back from exile to stop the terrorist group Outfit X from attacking India.
Kartik, in an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, said that the choice was primarily taken by the producers and directors. Shah Rukh is one of his favourite actors, so he was pleased when the release date was changed. When a movie is going to hit theatres, he doesn't refer to one as huge and the other as small; however, he also claimed the movie has already started playing. That movie has done incredibly well. The decision was made by the producers to just postpone it by one week since they felt that releasing the movie at that time wouldn't be appropriate. They moved forward with it.
Kartik remarked that he watched it and that he also reacted to it when asked about watching Pathaan. The actor really enjoyed it. In fact, it was the first time in a very long time that he got to watch Shah Rukh and Salman together, which he found to be very enjoyable.
With Pathaan's success, Kartik's Shehzada, which was supposed to be out on February 10, instead came out on February 17 in theatres. Rohit Dhawan is in charge of the movie Shehzada, which also stars Ronit Roy, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, and Kriti Sanon. It is an official Hindi version of the Telugu movie Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, in which Allu Arjun starred.
