Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan’s relationship might have had its start at Koffee With Karan a few years ago when the actress, who was on the show with her dad Saif Ali Khan, admitted that she had a crush on the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor. But now the Karan Johar-hosted has also become the setting for the fallout of that reportedly short-lived romance.

After Sara, who was part of the second episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7, apparently took a jibe at Kartik by saying that her ex is everybody’s ex, the actor in another rapid-fire session with Bollywood Hungama referred to the actress’ comments.

When asked what he would never do in a relationship, the actor said, “Bad mouth, spread rumours.” He also said that he was extremely proud that he’s popular among “rapid-fire shows”, referring to the Koffee with Karan Johar episode that also had Jahnvi Kapoor as the other guest.

In the show, Karan also confirmed that Sara and Kartik were dating. Incidentally, both Karan and Kartik only recently made up after having a fallout, with the filmmaker-producer dropping him from the Dostana 2.

Kartik, however, said that he didn’t make much of the incident. Ahead of the release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which is among the highest grossing Bollywood films this year, the actor said that he didn’t let the incident bother him and focused on his work. “There is no point in wondering why I was left out. Everyone wants to do good. That’s all there is to it,” he said.

Kartik, meanwhile, is gearing up for the releases of his Freddy and Shehzada, which is the Bollywood remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The latter, directed by Rohit Dhawan, has him teaming up with Kriti Sanon and is set to hit theatres in February 2023. He has signed Kabir Khan’s next directorial.
