The sequel stars Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani in leading roles
Actor Kartik Aaryan will wrap up the shooting of Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 soon, after taking a break from the schedule of Ekta Kapoor’s Freddie. He will return to the set of the former, produced by Murad Khetani, which is a sequel to the 2007 film, which had Priyadarshan at its helm.
The sequel stars Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani in leading roles, while the first part starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Ameesha Patel in prominent roles.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which is a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, revolves around a family and their ancestral place which is believed to be haunted. The film was critically acclaimed and was a big success at the box office, too, gaining a lot of fans for it across the world.
Though the makers had started shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in October 2019, the pandemic halted the film’s production. Kartik Aaryan was tested positive for coronavirus during the shooting and before he could resume working for the project post his quarantine, the second wave hit the country, which led the movie to a standstill again. Now, post the second lockdown, though the actor started shooting for the romantic thriller Freddie, he has decided to allot dates for Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He will be joining the set after a five-month hiatus.
Kartik will also be seen in Hansal Mehta’s Captain India and A Musical Love Story, which is produced by Sajid Nadiawala. He also has Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo’s remake and Shehzada in the pipeline.
