Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion has a Sushant Singh Rajput connect?

On July 4, popular Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan announced that he will be headlining the film titled Chandu Champion. This movie is slated to be released theatrically next year on June 14, 2024. Clearly, with this announcement, fans of Kartik Aaryan feel joyous, some of whom also feel that June is special month for the actor as his blockbusters namely Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and SatyaPrem Ki Katha were also released in the same month.

In a tweet Kartik Aaryan wrote, “Chandu nahi … Champion hai main... #ChanduChampion - 14th June 2024 #SajidNadiadwala @kabirkhankk @NGEMovies @WardaNadiadwala”

With this announcement, the buzz around the upcoming theatrical has no bounds. A report by ETimes states that Kartik's latest project has a connection with the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR).

“SSR's unfulfilled dream of giving wings to (eminent swimmer and paralympic gold medalist) Murlikant Petkar's story will now be realized by Kartik. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 star has big shoes to fill, but he seems to be the right person to fill in the void left by SSR's absence,” read the report.

A few years ago, it was reported that Sushant was scheduled to team up with Kabir Khan for a movie. However, due to the untimely demise of the actor, the shoot of Kabir Khan’s directorial was postponed indefinitely. Now, it seems that Kabir Khan has decided to give the project another try with Kartik Aaryan in the lead role.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan starrer SatyaPrem Ki Katha is running successfully at the theatres nowadays. In just a week, the romantic drama has minted over Rs 50 crores at the box office. With such a growth rate, it is very likely that the movie can soon mint over Rs 100 crores at the box office.
