Although various reports suggested that the makers of Naagzilla were looking to cast Sreeleela since her chemistry with Kartik Aaryan is already a hit on social media, that is not the case according to a report on Variety India. Preity Mukhundhan, best known for her works in the Telugu and Malayalam film industry, has reportedly been cast as the female lead in Naagzilla.

Preity Mukhundhan started her acting career in the Telugu film industry with Om Bheem Bush. She even appeared in the period-drama Kannappa back in 2024. The actress made her Malayalam film debut in 2025 with Maine Pyar Kiya. She is now likely to make her Bollywood debut with Naagzilla opposite Kartik Aaryan. The movie is produced by Karan Johar, and happens to be the second Kartik-Karan collaboration after Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
