The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Kattalan, have been updating details of its cast and crew recently. It has now been confirmed that Telugu actor Raj Tirandasu and Shon Joy will play pivotal roles in the movie, which stars Antony Varghese Pepe in the lead role. Raj is known for his antagonist part in Allu Arjun's Pushpa and Shon Joy rose to fame with Alappuzha Gymkhana, which is now streaming on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium.

The makers recently revealed that Rajisha Vijayan, Jagadish, Siddique, and Baby Jean are also a part of Kattalan, which is based on ivory hunt and power play. Telugu actor Sunil and Marco's villain Kabir Duhan Singh are also appearing in this thriller. The film, which is anticipated to be released this year, will also mark the acting debut of Hanan Shah, a well-known vlogger and playback vocalist. His popular song, Chirapunji Mazhayath, is currently dominating on social media platforms.
The poster shows an elephant capturing a hunter who chopped off one of its tusks with its trunk. In addition, the producers have announced that Kattalan will be screened in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi in addition to Malayalam in theatres. Fans of the Chaaver actor expect the producers to soon issue an update on the film's theatrical release along with Pepe's character poster.
Shareef Muhammad is producing the movie under the Cubes Entertainments label. This production house's previous project was Unni Mukundan's Marco, which is available on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium. The film's creators also disclosed that Kattalan's soundtrack and background score will be composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath, who is well-known for his work in Kantara. He is popular for his music in Kannada films like Bagheera and Kirik Party. Rumours that famous stuntman Kecha Khamphakdee would be working in this eagerly awaited Malayalam film were stoked by the Kattalan team's recent meeting with him.
