The much-loved quiz show has many surprises in store for its contestants and viewers including a visual makeover of the sets with augmented reality.

The popular quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati is all set for its 13th season with a theme ‘Jawaab Aap Hi Ho’ to celebrate every person’s right to be ‘Gyaandaar, Dhaandaar & Shaandaar’. The show hosted by the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will start airing on Sony TV from August 23 every day from Monday to Saturday. The fresh season has received a great response for its digital auditions and has shortlisted contestants to appear on the television show.

Many surprises are in store for contestants as well as the audience. The set has got a complete makeover, from LED flooring to the use of augmented reality, gameplay graphics, and a motorised virtual ceiling. Reaching the hot seat will be even tougher in the new season. Instead of the Fastest Finger First, it will have the Fastest Finger Fast - Triple Test, where the contestant has to quickly answer three questions with four options, and whoever gives all the right answers in the shortest time will make it to the hot seat. With the studio audience back, the show has revived the audience poll lifeline, along with the other three lifelines being 50:50, Ask The Expert, and Flip The Question.

To add to the fun, the show will have Shaandaar Shukravaar, a special episode that will see different celebrities playing the game for social causes on Fridays. Speaking about the show to Pinkvilla, Amitabh Bachchan said that this year marks his 21st year of association with the show and he ‘can never get enough of this show.’ He also added that the quiz show has grown to be an enriching experience for him as he gets to meet contestants from diverse backgrounds and professions, who inspire him in every way. The National-award winning actor signed off saying that he is eager to be part of interesting and informative gameplay in this season.
