As we said earlier, the advent of OTT platforms has definitely given rise to many reality shows. There are adventure-based reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, personality-based shows like Bigg Boss, Bigg Boss OTT, Lock Upp and many other shows. Amidst all this, there is the eternally evergreen knowledge-based show Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is hosted by the inimitable Amitabh Bachchan. There have been many instances when Amitabh Bachchan has walked that extra mile to make the contestant sitting on the hot seat.
This time round, Amitabh Bachchan not only walked that extra mile, but also got up from his seat and went on to offer chai to the contestant. The promo released by the channel showed a glimpse of the same. The said video, which had been titled ‘chhat chai with Amit ji’ has Amitabh Bachchan saying that, ‘Aapne toh kaha chat… jo kuch bhi chahiye humein chat mil jaata hai. ‘Ab toh chai ka bhi prabhandha kar diya” (You said ‘instant’. Whatever I want, I get it instantly. That’s why we have also made the arrangement for tea for you).
Needless to say, the contestant on the hot seat is all smiles seeing Amitabh Bachchan talking to him. And when, as a token of respect, when the contestant tries to get up from the seat, Amitabh Bachchan tells him to be seated. Amitabh Bachchan, then, bends in and offers the ‘chhat chai’ with utmost respect to the contestant. The contestant was not just overwhelmed with emotions, but also was full of gratitude.
This is not the first time when any contestant has been seen with full of gratitude. In one of the earlier episodes, one saw a contestant attempting the question of Rs. 7 crores. Post that, he fell atr Amitabh Bachchan’s feet and became extremely emotional.
