It's a known fact that Amitabh Bachchan adds style to anything he wears. Whether on screen or on the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, the legend always exudes an air of understated sophistication. Stylist Priya Patil, who has been working on KBC for more than ten years, likes to experiment with dark, rich hues like purple, blue, wine, and black.
In an interview with Mid Day, she revealed that they also feature classic three-piece suits and vibrantly coloured Jodhpuri jackets. An accessory she designed, influenced by his style in those films in the '70s and '80s, is the showstopper of season 16. Back then, Bachchan frequently sported a scarf. Similar scarves were popular in the early 17th century, serving as another source of inspiration for this style. Patil has updated this idea, so it pairs well with three-piece outfits. Her latest fashion accessory is the Baroque Cravat; it consists of a brooch and a band that I have gathered in front of the neck. The stylist, who is overjoyed to be able to offer her knowledge of Bachchan's style, has also included smaller and more polished wing collars.
Given that Big B spends the majority of the show sitting down, his new designs should prioritize comfort. Patil stated that comfort is their top priority, and she goes on to say that she hoped his fashion choices wouldn't limit his mobility.
Browns and greys aren't his thing, so she avoids them. Big B loves deep colours, and it is the man, not the clothes, who creates the clothes, in her opinion. She claims that she is skilled at selecting high-quality fabrics and colours and expertly styling them, but that it is her boss's magnetic presence that makes the ensembles come to life.
Earlier in a statement, Bachchan spoke about Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 and said that millions of people across India watch the show every week, and it's more than just a game show—it's a journey of hopes and goals for the competitors. His fans are like family to him, and hosting KBC is a wonderful way to stay connected with them. It touches Big B's heart and gives him hope to meet candidates from all walks of life; each has a remarkable story of perseverance, full of hardships but always with a smile and enormous dreams. They intend to provide viewers with an even more enlightening and exciting viewing experience in Season 16, which reflects the ethos of modern India and continues to promote education as a leveller.
Sony Entertainment Television will premiere Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 on August 12 and air Monday through Friday at 9 p.m. You can also stream it on SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium).
