Kaushik Ganguly is all set with another directorial work. His film Palan is coming. The official poster was released. Billed as a tribute to Mrinal Sen, the film features Anjan Dutta, Mamata Shankar, Jisshu Sengupta, and Paoli Dam.

The film’s story and screenplay are written by Koushik. He brings the film on the occasion of the birth centenary of Mrinal Sen. The film's music director is Neel Dutta and it is produced by Pratik Chakraborty. It is presented by Pramod Films and The Big Day.
The film is based on Mrinal Sen’s film Kharij, which was released in 1982. The original film was based on Ramapada Chowdhury's novel. Palan tells the story of a middle-class family, whose selfishness is unmasked at the death of Palan. Sreela Majumdar will also play an important role in the film.
This is Mrinal Sen’s birth centenary year. Srijit Mukherji is also making a biopic of Mrinal Sen. In that film, Padatik, Chanchal Choudhury and Monami Ghosh will play the leads.
