It’s taken Kannada actor Rishi a few days to come to terms with the loss of Puneeth Rajkumar, who had backed one the actor’s biggest films to date – Kavaludaari – and put his thoughts into words. The Hemanth M Rao directorial film, incidentally, was Puneeth’s debut production under his banner, PRK Productions, for which he had also sung the title track. In fact, Puneeth was so proud of the neo-noir thriller that in the run-up to its release, he did interviews with the cast and crew as part of its promotions. Earlier today, Rishi took to social media to post a selfie of with the late Puneeth and a long accompanying note.
He wrote, “The day when all the cells of my body screamed with joy when he recognized me from a distance and came to hug me asking the stunt director for a 2 min break, while I was standing in the crowd, watching him perform. He had seen the teaser of Operation Alamelamma and had loved it. This was the first ever time I met him. This was also the first ever time I requested for a written autograph from someone in my life as I was a huge fan of his. There can never be another person like you Appu sir. The connection I made with you in the course of my life, may be thats what heaven is. I can write pages about you. For I know that I will never get over my broken heart. But I also know that you will forever be there in it. Love you always @puneethrajkumar.official sir #PuneethRajkumar #FanBoyForever”.
