Kavin begins shooting for his next with Thandatti director Ram Sangaiah

Actor Kavin, who was recently seen in Tamil film Mask, has a couple of projects in his hand, and one of them is a film with director Ram Sangaiah who had made Thandatti. The project has recently gone on floors, with Kavin joining the shoot.

Kavin’s next goes on floors:

Director Ram Sangaiah made his debut with the 2023 film Thandatti starring actors Rohini Molleti and Pasupathy. The filmmaker announced his next starring Kavin, and the project has now gone on floors. While not much about the film’s cast and crew have been announced, and the title, the project is expected to be an interesting one which will show Kavin in a different shade.

In the recent, Kavin had appeared in different roles, in films like Kiss and Mask, however none of them clicked at the box office. With the upcoming film, Kavin is expected to make a comeback with a strong script. With Thandatti being a rural comedy drama, this project is also expected to be on the same lines and village-based story that will cater to family audience. The yet-to-be titled project will be Kavin’s 10th film as lead actor.

Kavin’s Mask OTT release date:

Meanwhile, Kavin last starred in Mask, a heist thriller which is all set to make its OTT debut soon. The film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by ZEE5 and will release it on January 9. Co-starring singer-actor Andrea Jeremiah as the antagonist, Kavin plays Velu, a money-oriented private detective who gets entangled in the messy working of an NGO which puts up a noble façade only to hide an illegal business. The film is written and directed by Vikarnan Ashok.

On the other hand, Kavin’s next release will be Hi, which will feature Nayanthara as the female lead. Directed by lyricist Vishnu Edavan, a release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
