Kavin's Dada trailer is on ode to father-son relationship

Bigg Boss Tamil contestant Kavin is gearing up for his next. The trailer of his upcoming film, Dada which is all set to hit screens this Friday (February 10) is the coming-of-age story of a young father. Going by the trailer, the plot primarily revolves around the relationship between a father and son. Aparna Das, who had earlier starred in Beast, plays the leading lady in the film and actor Arjun Nandakumar's son Ilan, plays their son.

K Bhagyaraj and Aishwarya will be seen in supporting roles and will mark their comeback collaboration. The last time the duo had starred together was in Rasukutty, which had been released over three decades ago.

The audio and the trailer launch was held last evening at a mall in Vadapalani, Chennai. The film is directed by Ganesh K Babu and is bankrolled by Olympia Movies. Dada has been cleared with a U certificate.

Going by the trailer, it seems like Kavin is a carefree guy in college after his girlfriend gets pregnant, he has to look after the child all alone. Kavin's character initially struggles to bring up his son, but eventually learns his job and their relationship goes stronger. The plot will take the plunge into modern-day relationships, unconditional love, struggle and conflict.

Music for the film is by Jen Martin, cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K and editing by Kathiresh Alagesan. The promo of one of the songs, Kiruttu Kiruttu, has already touched 1 million views. Aparna Das dropped some BTS pictures and videos of the song and wrote, "Posting few BTS of Kiruttu Kiruttu promo song coz we hit 1 Million on YouTube #kiruttukiruttu #DADA #1million .. also this is just a promo song, wait for our film on FEB 10th Pc : @imsriharikailash Those who haven’t seen it, link below https://youtu.be/4nFUJFhyyKs (sic)."

Kavin was last seen in the thriller Lift and in the web series Aakash Vani. He had also appeared as a guest in Bigg Boss Tamil season 6.
