In exactly 20 days, the big launchpad of Yuva Rajkumar will be in theatres. The film, Yuva, directed by Santhosh Ananddram pairs the actor with Kantara fame Sapthami, a pairing that netizens were not too thrilled about when it was initially announced. But now, as the first visuals of the pair have come out, those impressions have all but melted away.

Earlier today, the second single of Yuva, Kavithe Kavithe, came out. A romantic number sung by Kannada cinema’s love song specialist Sanjith Hegde, the lyrical video’s visuals were mostly of the singer, but there were also a few from the actual song, featuring Yuva and Sapthami and now, netizens just can’t get over their chemistry. They also reckon that composer Ajaneesh Loknath has redeemed himself a great deal with the melody, after the intro number Obbane Shiva Obbane Yuva.

Comments coming in for Kavithe Kavithe include, “A song that will rule playlists from today”, “Ajaneesh’s music is top notch”, “Yuva and Sapthami’s chemistry is to die for”, “Sapthami looks sexy”, “Frames are just lit”, among others.

Yuva, meanwhile, is coming to theatres on March 29, pushed ahead from its earlier December 22 slot. The film had to be pushed ahead to accommodate the production house’s Salaar: Ceasefire, which didn’t make its September 28 deadline. Earlier this year, it was rumoured that Yuva could see yet another postponement, as the team had not finished the song shoots, but then the team dispelled those rumours.

In keeping with the plan of giving Yuva a proper star kid launch pad, the film is said to be a commercial entertainer set in an engineering college. A campus that is plagued by gang wars between factions of students, Yuva is caught in the middle when he has to step in and fight to protect his friends.

The actor, meanwhile, is said to have a three-film deal with Hombale Films, with director Santhosh Ananddram likely to make another movie with him.
