Special Ops 1.5 has been making the waves ever since it was released on OTT. Now, it has become the top OTT original of the week, despite Dhamaka’s recent release. Of course, the Kartik Aaryan starrer is also a part of the list but is not even close to the spot Kay Kay Menon’s series has acquired.
Ormax Media released a list of the top OTT originals of the week. While Special Ops 1.5 held the first place there, Dhamaka stepped in last.

The Neeraj Pandey directorial, which also stars Aftab Shivdasani in a pivotal role, has even surpassed Squid Games to become the top OTT original of the week. It is to be noted that Squid Games became a phenomenon. After the series released on Netflix, various countries started hosting their own version of Squad Games (of course, they were non-deadly).
Suriya’s Jai Bhim came third on the list, followed by Money Heist S5 which was also one of the most-awaited series of the year. The web show is releasing in installments. While the first part is out, the second one is expected to release in December, 2021.
Rajkummar Rao-Kriti Sanon’s Hum Do Hamaare Do, which also released a while back, made it to the list in fifth position. Red Notice, starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Gosling, followed soon after.
Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Sanak, both the OTT releases which were shunned by the critics, have also reached the seventh and eight positions, respectively. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal’s Sardar Udham, which made a lot of noise, is the ninth top OTT original of the week.
Kartik Aaryan’s Dhamaka, which released on November 19, has slowly entered the list. The movie is in 10th position. However, that is expected since the count is from November 12-18, when Dhamaka did not even release on Netflix. The film, an adaptation of The Terror Live, is yet to gain momentum on the OTT platform.
