Megastar Amitabh Bachchan keeps fans entertained with his interesting anecdotes during his conversations with contestants on the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Also called KBC, the popular quiz show is currently running its 16th season and is being hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. In the latest episode, Big B shared a heartfelt story about his personal life and parents with one of the hotseat contestants. Sony dropped a new clip that offers a delightful highlight to the conversation.
KBC 16 host Amitabh Bachchan recently spoke about the intercaste marriage of his parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. During a conversation with one of the female contestants, Kirti, the veteran actor shared his insights about inter-caste relationships. He also revealed that his father hailed from Uttar Pradesh, but his mother was a Sikh, so this makes him ‘Aadha Sardar’ or half Sikh due to his family roots.

He said, “Inter caste bolna bahut ajeeb lagta hai, Pita ji hamare Uttar Pradesh se the aur Mata ji Sikh Parivar se, toh aadha Sardar mein apne aap ko maanta hu.”
Later, he also shared insights about the significance of equality beyond the barriers of caste. He added that his father, Harivansh Rai, who was a renowned poet, never believed in having any surname but used Bachchan as his pen name.
