'Keep inspiring us': Amigos actress Ashika Rangnath showers praise on RRR star Jr. NTR

Through the upcoming film Amigos, Ashika Ranganath joins the long list of Kannada actresses who have tried their hand at Telugu cinema. While Ashika doesn't intend on making a permanent switch, she would certainly hope that the film's success fetches her more offers and allows her, in turn, to broaden her horizons as an actor. And going by her short yet endearing speech at the recent Amigos pre-release event, she seems quite kicked about the prospects.

The same event saw her share the grand stage with the mighty Jr. NTR and during her speech, the Avatara Purusha actress could not help but show her excitement over the opportunity of meeting the Telugu superstar. "Tarak sir, it feels so good to see you today. Thank you so much for gracing this event," she said, before going to congratulate him for the stellar success of RRR and also thank him, in the same vein, for inspiring young actors like herself.

"We have to thank you for making us all, the whole country, proud by making a film like RRR. And congratulations on the Golden Globe award and the Oscars nomination - I was mesmerized when I saw the Naatu Naatu song. I am a huge fan of dance, I love dancing and you have performed so well. Thank you so much, keep inspiring and keep entertaining sir," said Ashika Ranganath. She would then go on to thank her co-star Kalyan Ram, along with the rest of the cast & crew, for guiding her through the process. The crowd present at the event and netizens alike were super impressed with Ashika Ranganth's attempt to speak in Telugu.

Amigos, the film, is an action thriller centred on the unique relationship between Kalyan Ram's character and his two doppelgangers. Rajendra Reddy has written and directed the film with Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar producing the film under the reputed Mythri Movie Makers banner. Ghibran has scored the music and the film is scheduled to release on February 10th.
