The latest promo for Arun Matheswaran's Saani Kaayidham has Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan getting into their characters, Ponni and Sangaiah

Amazon Prime Video India has shared a new promo for director Arun Matheswaran's Saani Kaayidham. The promo features the film's lead cast Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan. While Selvaraghavan is seen reciting a Tirukkural, which roughly translates to "If someone does something that's bad for you, shame them by doing something good in return." To which Keerthy Suresh, replies saying that it's an old version and that the new version goes like this, "If someone does something bad for you, make sure, you give them the same treatment, multifold in return." Soon, they break into a small argument like their characters in the film. Selva asks Keerthy, "when have you ever listened to me".
The plot of Saani Kaayidham revolves around two people from an oppressed community, who set out to take revenge against a group of people from a dominant caste, after their lives turn topsy turvy because of them. While Selva essays the role of a gas delivery person called Sangaiah, Keerthy plays a police constable, whose only dream is to educate her only daughter Dhana and live a better life.
Ponni's life changes overnight and she decides to avenge the injustice done to her, with the help of Sangaiah, with whom she shares a bitter past. While Yamini Yagnamurthy has cranked the camera, Nagooran has handled its editing. Sam CS has scored the music for the film. Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed action scenes for Saani Kaayidham which has VFX supervision by Harihara Suthan.
The film marks Selvaraghavan's debut as an an actor, though his second film Beast with Thalapathy Vijay released earlier. Saani Kaayidham is produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment Private Limited. Selvaraghavan also has Naane Varuven in the pipeline. The film has Dhanush playing the lead and the first-look poster was released recently, which created quite a stir.
