Nagesh Kukunoor, the Hyderabad-based filmmaker who shot to fame with the indie-film Hyderabad Blues and made a name for himself in Hindi cinema later, has taken nearly two decades to make his Telugu debut, Good Luck Sakhi. The film, a sports comedy which completed its shoot earlier this year, stars Keerthy Suresh, Aadhi Pinisetty and Jagapathi Babu in lead roles and is produced by Sudheer Chandra Padiri under Worth A Shot Motion Arts The makers, who were going back and forth between several release options throughout the year, have finally decided to release Good Luck Sakhi in theatres on November 26.

She is cast as a village belle hailing from a marginalised community with a passion for shooting, where Aadhi Pinisetty plays her on-screen counterpart, a theatre actor with Jagapathi Babu essaying the role of a coach. The lead character in the film has a notorious reputation for inviting bad luck into her life and village. The story revolves around her transformation from another village girl to a national-level shooter, groomed by an eminent coach.
Ramaprabha and Rahul Ramakrishna play supporting roles. The film is simultaneosly releasing in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages. The release date poster shared by the team has Keerthy Suresh aiming her target while being surrounded by Aadhi and Jagapathi Babu. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for this entertaining film while Chirantan Das has cranked the camera. Noted producer Dil Raju, on behalf of Sri Venkateswara Creations, is the presenter of film, while Shravya Varma is the co-producer. The teaser of Good Luck Sakhi, released many months ago, received good responses.
