Akshay Kumar Drops New Look From Kesari Chapter 2

For the unversed, it was said over a month ago that the C Sankaran Nair biopic has been rebranded as Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story Of Jallianwala Bagh. The makers confirmed the same with a teaser. The 1 minute 39 seconds teaser that was launched gave a crux of what the movie has to offer. The trailer made things even more clear. However, now Akshay Kumar has shared a picture in the costume of a Kathakali dancer and left the fans even more intrigued.

Dressed as a Kathakali dancer, the Phir Hera Pheri star Akshay Kumar looks pretty impressive. While he doesn't reveal if this is a part of the movie or not, the caption reads, “This is not a costume. It's a symbol of tradition, of resistance, of truth, of my nation. Sankaran Nair didn't fight with a weapon. He fought the British Empire with the law and with fire in his soul. This 18th APRIL, we bring you the court trial they never taught in textbooks.” Check it out below.

Karan Johar On Kesari Chapter 2

Karan Johar, day before yesterday, took to his Instagram and shared a long note talking about how proud he is of a movie he is about to present. The filmmaker cryptically confirmed it was Kesari Chapter 2 with the colour of the background and saffron hearts in the caption. Karan Johar wrote, “I am so proud to say that our next offering is the 24th debutant filmmaker we have introduced to Hindi cinema! (Trivia for trollers: 90% of them are ‘outsiders’). I rarely write notes before the release of a film but few films excite me, energise me, and inspire me the way the process of this film has. Our collaborative producer and debutant director have been on the journey of this film for 4 years.”

“The director did nothing else but put his head down and work relentlessly on his film, combating pandemic delays and other unforeseen circumstances. I am inspired by the team of actors and technicians who gave the film and the team so much consistent support and love. One can never predict commercial success BUT what I can say with all my heart is that this film is one of Dharma’s proudest films. I say this as a filmmaker and an audience. I pray for the team that the audience is coloured in the colour of their passion. See you at the movies,” he concluded.
