Even though Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 was lauded for its concept of Jallianwallah Bagh massacre and even the performances by all actors (Akshay, Hisaab Barabar actor R. Madhavan as well as Ananya Panday), the movie has seen only struggles at the Box Office. It had an extremely low opening and even after the weekend, this movie has managed to earn what Salman Khan's 'disaster film' Sikandar minted within a day. Of course, we mean that Kesari 2 has not even earned half of a century yet.

Kesari 2 has seen minimal growth over the first weekend. According to Sacnilk, the movie has minted Rs. 29 crore over its first weekend. The Akshay Kumar-starring film earned Rs. 7.75 crore on day 1, Rs. 9.75 crore on day 2 and Rs. 12.25 crore on day 3. This takes the total net collections of the movie to Rs. 29.75 crore over the first three days aka first weekend.

Although Kesari 2 might have neared Rs. 30 crore on day 2, this is the Box Office collection of Salman Khan's Sikandar on day 2 of release alone. Sikandar, which released on Sunday, March 30, minted Rs. 29 crore on its first Monday, which was Eid holiday. Meanwhile, Kesari 2 enjoyed both Good Friday and Easter holidays, but did not come close to Rs. 50 crore mark a la Sikandar.

Jaat Box Office collection

Sunny Deol's Jaat, which released at the Box Office two weeks back, also struggles at the Box Office. The movie is not close to minting what Gadar 2 did and has not even come close to Rs. 100 crore club net so far either (Sikandar managed to cross Rs. 100 crore mark after second weekend, only to come to a halt after).

The big question now is, can Kesari 2 keep up at the Box Office even if it has good word-of-mouth? The movie is yet to enter Rs. 100 crore club, which might be plausible over the coming weekend. What do you think? Do let us know!
