Kesari: Chapter 2 continues to struggle at the Box Office. The movie has not passed the Monday litmus test with flying colours and has instead witnessed a drop of nearly 60 percent. Although a drop is normal for Monday, in the case of Kesari it is not a great sign since the movie has anyway been struggling to mint even Rs. 50 crore over its first weekend. The drop comes at a time when neither Sunny Deol's Jaat nor Salman Khan's Sikandar performs well at the Box Office.
Karan Johar-produced film Kesari saw negligible Box Office on its first Monday. The movie witnessed nearly 60% drop as it went on to earn Rs. 4.59 crore, according to Sacnilk. The film, starring Akshay Kumar, Hisaab Barabar actor R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, had earned Rs. 12.25 crore on its first Sunday.
Sunny Deol's Jaat has finally entered Rs 100 crore club worldwide, on its second Monday. The movie has earned so worldwide and is yet to hit the mark in net collections. Owing to that, it does not look like Sunny Deol's film would beat Gadar 2 records unless by some miracle, the demand for this movie rises over time.
Most hopes were pinned on Salman Khan's movie Sikandar performing well at the Box Office but the film has not shown much growth after entering Rs. 100 crore club. It struggled to even mint Rs. 110 crore and is still earning in lakhs.
Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero is the next theatrical release. Given that the film is backed by Excel Entertainment, there is some hope associated with this one, but can it really be the next Chhaava (featuring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in the lead roles), is a big question waiting to be answered. We would know with the movie's release on Friday, April 25, 2025.
