Marking the occasion, they teased the upcoming film with a post that read: "Celebrating 6 years of Kesari. Celebrating the spirit of Kesari. Celebrating a new chapter that begins... soon!"

Adding to the intrigue, Karan Johar took to his Instagram stories and wrote, "Chapter 2 Loading…." Yesterday, the long-awaited announcement finally arrived—the film is officially titled Kesari: Chapter 2. In his latest Instagram post, Karan Johar confirmed the cast—Akshay Kumar , R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday—and the release date: April 18, 2025. But before that, fans can gear up for the teaser, which will be released on Monday, March 24, 2025.

Sharing the announcement, Karan Johar wrote: "Kuch ladaaiyan hathiyaaron se nahi ladi jaati. #KesariChapter2 teaser out on 24th March. In cinemas 18th April, worldwide." The promotional poster hints at the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, which serves as the film’s backdrop, adding to the film’s historical significance.

Karan Johar on Kesari: Chapter 2

Two days ago, Karan Johar posted a heartfelt note on Instagram, expressing his pride in presenting the film. While he didn’t directly name it at the time, the saffron-colored background and heart emojis in his caption made it clear that he was referring to Kesari: Chapter 2.

In his note, he emphasized Dharma Productions’ commitment to introducing fresh talent: "I am so proud to say that our next offering is the 24th debutant filmmaker we have introduced to Hindi cinema!
