In the film, Akshay Kumar (Aitraaz) played the role of C. Sankaran Nair, the lawyer who fought against the British Empire to uncover the truth of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
R. Madhavan (Hisaab Barabar) played Neville McKinley, the British advocate defending General Dyer. On the other hand, Ananya Panday (Khaali Peeli) portrayed Dilreet Gill, a young advocate who assists Sankaran Nair.
This is a historical courtroom drama based on the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, focusing on lawyer C. Sankaran Nair's legal battle against the British Empire to uncover the truth. This film focuses on the efforts to hold General Reginald Dyer, the commander responsible for the Nair massacre, accountable.
Meanwhile, Kesari Chapter 2 is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Aruna Bhatia, Adar Poonawalla, Anand Tiwari, and Amritpal Singh Bindra.
