KGF: Chapter 2 seems to be making as much of an impact as its predecessor. The film has already minted over Rs 100 crore at the box office and is garnering numerous positive reviews as well. The sequel sees seasoned Bollywood stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon play pivotal roles. Tandon recently opened up about how she came to be a part of the Prashant Neel directorial.

In a conversation with TOI, the actress revealed that Neel had approached her for the role while he was still working on the first film. Neel had narrated what he had in mind for Tandon’s character in the sequel of the film and added that he also wanted to include some shots of the character in KGF: Chapter 1 as well.

Tandon had hesitated to say yes to the role when Neel admitted that he hadn’t completely ‘panned out’ the character’s role in the sequel. But seeing Neel’s conviction, sincerity and the vision he had in mind for what he is making, Tandon had said yes to the role after a few days. “When a filmmaker is sitting in front of you and he's so clear in his mind what he wants, then there's no two ways that you won't be a part of the project,” she added.

The actress also spoke about collaborating with Sanjay Dutt on the film. Tandon revealed that they did not have ‘any scenes together so to speak’ and barely had the time to meet each other on set. But despite it all, she said that it was always a lot of ‘fun’ working with Dutt.

Starring Yash in the lead, KGF: Chapter 2 also features Prakash Raj, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Ramachandra Raju, Vasishta N Simha, Saran Sakthi and Archana Jois.

KGF: Chapter 2 is now playing in theatres in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi.
