KGF-Chapter 2 song: Mehabooba cements Reena’s love for Rocky Bhai
The romantic number Mehabooba from KGF: Chapter 2 was released today

Mehabooba, a romantic song from KGF: Chapter 2, released a while ago. Considering that the film opened in theatres only today, the makers have only put out an audio version of the song, sung by Ananya Bhat. The mellifluous melody, composed by Ravi Basrur, is a song that Reena (Srinidhi Shetty) sings for Rocky Bhai (Yash) to declare her love for him. Obviously, it is too early in the day for the makers to reveal any visuals from the song, which is among the sweetest moments in the Rocky-Reena relationship. So, if you haven’t seen the film yet, the audio is all you get for now.

Reena, the daughter of one of the villains in KGF, Rajendra Prasad Desai, was established as Rocky’s love interest in Chapter 1, although the progression of their relationship from anger and hatred to love (as far as Reena is concerned) will be seen in Chapter 2 only. The song also explores the effect Reena has on Rocky.

While the makers had announced other song releases in advance, like the first single Toofan, and then Gagane Nee, followed by Sulthan, Mehabooba was slipped in amid all the social media frenzy surrounding the release of the film.

Directed by Prashant Neel, and produced by Hombale Films, KGF: Chapter 2 opened in theatres world-wide on April 14 in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Ayyappa P Sharma, Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, TS Nagabharana, BS Avinash, Tarak Ponnappa, Saran Sakthi, Eashwari Rao, Archana Jois, John Kokken, among others.

The film follows Yash’s character, Rocky Bhai’s ascension to the throne of KGF and the obstacles along the way, after he got rid of the heir of Narachi, Garuda, in Chapter 1.
