Khadaan: Barkha Sengupta Bisht to play a special character in Dev’s film

Dev announced the film Khadaan at the beginning of 2024. People are interested in the film, which has an attractive cast. As per reports, Dev has a double role in the film. Names of several actors have come out. Recently, reports say that an actress' name will also be added to the list of the cast.

Dev initially said that Idhika Pal would pair up with him. Bonny Sengupta and Jisshu Sengupta were offered two special roles. It is heard that Dev will play father and son in the film, based on the backdrop of a coal mining area. Idhika Pal will pair up with the son while Barkha Sengupta Bisht will play opposite the father’s role, a report suggested.

Barkha has been acting in both Hindi and Bengali films and serials. She is the former wife of Indraneil Sengupta. They separated in 2023. Barkha was in the film Dui Prithibi, starring Dev and Jeet. She also acted in the films Ami Subhash Bolchi, Villain, and Black. She played a special role in the film Srimati, directed by Arjun Dutta. For a while, Barkha stayed away from Tollywood. It remains to be seen whether she will do more Bengali films in the future.

Dev finished the recce for Khadaan in Asansol. The final preparation is going on. The shooting is due to start in March.
