With the theatres gradually reopening worldwide during the ongoing pandemic, a historical/drama by Fiza Ali Meerza and Nabeel Qureshi becomes the first Pakistani film to be released in cinemas. The film stars Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan in lead roles. According to the dailytimes.pk, the film will also have veterans Javed Sheikh, Samina Ahmed, Marina Khan and Manzar Sehbai in pivotal roles.
The venture by Filmwala Pictures is gearing up for a release on November 19. The makers had announced with a poster of the upcoming drama recently. Sharing the poster, actor Sajal Aly wrote on her social media that Filmwala Pictures is excited to announce the first Pakistani film to be released post COVID-19 and upon the opening of Cinemas nationwide. "Thank you to all our fans for being so patient!,” she added in her caption. The poster was also shared by her co-star Bilal Abbas Khan with the same caption. He further wrote that the “anticipated wait will be well worth it! See you all at your nearest theatre [to] watch how love overcomes power and how creative ideas by the youth have the power to change minds.”

During a Q/A session on Instagram, Nabeel Qureshi had said that the film Khel Khel Mein will be different from his earlier projects. It will be a drama/historical film, he had added. He also mentioned that he had an amazing experience working on it with Bilal and that Sajal was his first pick. The actors had earlier shared a motion poster of the film. Bilal wrote: "If history was taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten." It is said to depict youth's take on historical events. This has only piqued our interests even more.
The music of the film is reportedly composed by Shani Arshad, Shuja Haider and Asrar Shah. The teaser of the film will be out on October 30 at 3 pm.
Other details of the film are yet to be out.
The film marks the second collaboration of Bilal Abbas Khan and Sajal Aly. The two had earlier shared screens on the HumTV drama O'Rangreza, which is currently available on YouTube. Bilal Abbas Khan was last seen in the drama Dunk while Sajal Aly's last venture was Yeh Dil Mera.
