After stirring buzz for a long time, the wait is FINALLY over for fans as the official trailer of Arjun Varain Singh's directorial debut, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is out now. Starring Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav in lead roles, the film explores friendship and dating in the digital age. 

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan Trailer brings youth’s “loneliness” into the spotlight

Ananya Panday’s most awaited film, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan seems to be satiating fans’ demand for a heartfelt Friendship movie after the iconic films, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Chahta Hai released decades ago.  

The film with an ensemble cast, centers around a trio of best friends (we love such trios!), Imaad (played by Siddhant Chaturvedi), Ahana (played by Ananya Panday), and Neil (played by Adarsh Gourav) as they navigate the bumpy ride of life in their youths.   

Co-written by Arjun Varain Singh, Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Yash Sahai – Kho Gaye Hum Kahan explores the life of three best friends in the backdrop of big city life, Mumbai. In the 2:40-minute trailer, we witness the lead characters reflecting on the reality of life shrouded in the fake portrait of ourselves on social media platforms. The film revolves around the aspects of the digital realm while facing the reality of loneliness and heartbreaks.   

The movie is slated for a December 26 release on Netflix.

Fans are all hearts

The recently released trailer has piqued the interest of fans and already garnered over a half million views in just 2 hours. Several hundred fans have flooded the comment section with their views and expressed their desire to watch it soon. One fan wrote, “I absolutely love the concept! The trailer is a BLAST too!!”   

While another said, “Movie worth watching for this generation... Brilliant casts.”   

“This looks really good! Can’t wait for the movie.”  

Many fans also lauded Ananya Panday’s performance in the trailer, some were moved by her improved acting skills as compared to her previous performances. One wrote, “Ananya is killing ittt.”  

Another said, “After Gehraiyaan and Dream girl2, Ananya is ready to nail with her performance again.”  

While other fans hailed the concept of social media, digital lives and loneliness. One said, “Finaally a movie which is relatable......and shows other generations how sad we are irl.”  

The trailer has received an overwhelming response from the audience with many applauding Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Zoya Akhtar for bringing a relatable cinematic piece.   

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan has been grabbed by Netflix for an exclusive OTT release on its platform on 26 December.
