Khufiya: Ali Fazal shares his look from Vishal Bhardwaj’s spy thriller

Ever Since the announcement of filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj’s collaboration with Netflix for a spy thriller, fans have been elated and thrilled. Khufiya, featuring Ali Fazal and Tabu in lead roles is doubtlessly one of the most anticipated films of next year. Amidst the eager netizens who are waiting to hear more updates from the team, Ali has dropped his look from the movie.

The actor can be seen sporting a moustache in the photo he shared through his official social media page. ‘The year of moustache is here!!! Lots to tell. #Khufiya tales’, he wrote in his caption. The picture instantly gained wide popularity among the netizens, as they loaded the comment session with compliments and love towards the actor. 

Khufiya, inspired by true events, is based on the popular novel ‘Escape to Nowhere’ penned by Amar Bhushan. The OTT giant Netflix has released a snippet of the film before, which promises an intense and intriguing spy thriller. Earlier, in a statement with PTI, the director had talked about his web debut and revealed it as an attempt of him to create an ‘edgy espionage film’ which brings the contrast between the slow burn of intelligence and surveillance work alongside one’s deep emotions. 

Meanwhile, Tabu, who essays the titular role was also quoted earlier saying that the film is going to be a ‘one of a kind project’. The actress had taken to her social media to share her excitement to reunite with the filmmaker after Maqbool and Haider. She had also mentioned that she feels it as ‘homecoming’. The actress who was seen last in the hit web series A Suitable Boy alongside Ishaan Khatter, will also be appearing in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 besides Khufiya. She also has Aasmaan Bhardwaj’s Kuttey lined up in her pipeline.
