Khushbu Sundar has a special tribute for Ranadheera co-star Ravichandran on his birthday

It was way back in 1988 that popular south actress Khushbu Sundar made her Kannada film debut. Khushbu was paired with Crazy Star Ravichandran in a film called Ranadheera, which was the official remake of Subhash Ghai’s hit Hindi movie, Hero. Directed by Ravichandran and produced by his father N Veeraswamy for their home banner, Eshwari Productions, Ranadheera went on to become highest grossing Kannada film of 1988. The film clocked a massive 25-week run in theatres, to celebrate which, the team had invited Amitabh Bachchan as chief guest. The film was later dubbed in Tamil as Veeran.

Today, on the occasion of Ravichandran’s birthday, Khushbu took to social media with a special video tribute to her first hero in Kannada. Grooving to the hit number Preethi Maadabaarudu from the film, which was sung by the late SP Balasubrahmanyam and S Janaki, which featured Ravichandran and Khushbu, the actress added a post to her video, writing, “To all #Ranadheera fans out here!! #Ranadheera introduced me to Kannada and gave me millions of fan following, overwhelming appreciation, love that cannot be defined in words! I will always be indebted to Kannada audience for this and more. As our fav Ravichandran Sir celebrates his birthday today, Join me in wishing #CrazyStar #vravichandran a very happy birthday. This is my way of showing my love, will you remix with me to wish him?? ❤️❤️”

Ranadheera was a Hamsalekha musical and had a massive 11 songs, most of which were sung by SPB and S Janaki. After Ranadheera, Khushbu’s next two Kannada films, Anjada Gandu and Yuga Purusha, also paired her with Ravichandran. In fact, the Crazy Star is the actor she was paired with the most in Sandalwood.
