Khushi Kapoor made her big screen debut with Loveyapa alongside Aamir Khan's son, Junaid Khan. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, received mixed responses. On the other hand, Khushi's recently released Netflix film, Nadaaniyan co-starring Saif Ali Khan's son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, also has been getting poor reviews on social media. In a new interview, Khushi expressed her interest in a new genre. Can you guess?
After two rom-coms, Nadaaniyan and Loveyapa, Khushi Kapoor expressed her interest in thriller-horror movies. In a new interview with Grazia India, she said, “I’ve always been curious to see what the process of a thriller-horror movie would look like; maybe not completely horror but something a bit darker than the movies I’ve done so far.”
Khushi also discussed her characters in The Archies, Loveyapa, and Nadaaniyan. She said that she follows a different process for each character and tries to build a relationship with each of them. When Khushi was asked which role was difficult to play, she said that it was Baani in Loveyapa since she was ‘the furthest’ from what she’s like in real life.
Nadaaniyan follows Pia (Khushi Kapoor), a rich Delhi socialite, who hires Arjun, a middle-class student, to pose as her boyfriend to maintain her social status, but their charade complicates when genuine feelings develop.
The film explores the complexities of young love, social dynamics, and the challenges of navigating relationships in a hyper-stylized world, where digital interaction plays a significant role.
Loveyapa is a romantic comedy-drama about a young couple, Gaurav (Junaid Khan) and Baani (Khushi Kapoor), whose relationship faces a crisis when Baani's father makes them swap phones before marriage, revealing secrets and testing their trust. This film explores themes of trust, relationships in the digital age, and the challenges of managing relationships with the constant presence of technology.
