Kiara Advani: Jugjugg Jeeyo is every person's story

Kiara Advani has had a roller coaster journey from filming to promotion for the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which is slated to hit theatres this week. But that's not all that excites the actor. With the release of the first poster for Jugjugg Jeeyo last week, Advani is looking forward to reuniting with her co-stars Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor to promote the year's most anticipated family drama.

The actor admits to Mid Day that she has always been more heart than brain, and this film is a reflection of that. The family entertainer from Karan Johar's stable centres around two generations of spouses and how their post-marriage difficulties bind them.

Advani further explained that it is every person's narrative; they have either all gone through it or will go through it at some point, insisting that the story of Jugjugg Jeeyo is one that everyone can relate to. 

Advani had already worked with filmmaker Raj Mehta on the film Good Newwz (2019), so accepting the role was a no-brainer for him. She continued, saying that the most entertaining director we have is Raj Mehta. Anyone who sees the movie will appreciate how it touches one's heart.

Rishhabh Sharrma, Anurag Singh, and Sumit Bhateja have penned the screenplay for Jugjugg Jeeyo. The film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions.

While Maniesh Paul and Prajakti Koli play pivotal roles in the film. Jugjugg Jeeyo is slated to hit the big screens on June 24, 2022.

Meanwhile, talking about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the film is directed by Anees Bazmee and is the standalone sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, featuring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Shiney Ahuja in the lead roles. The horror-comedy also starring Tabu is slated for release on May 20, 2022.
