Kiara Advani on Jugjugg Jeeyo: Anil sir is the youngest superstar on our set and Varun is a gym junkie

Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani-starrer comedy-drama Jugjugg Jeeyo goes inches closer to touching Rs 50 cr at the box office on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the camaraderie between the lead actors, including Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor has been well appreciated by the audience.

While talking about her experience of working with veterans like Anil and Neetu to the media in Kolkata, Kiara said that she was lucky to be able to work with them. “We are very fortunate that we got to work with Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Neetu ma’am is making a comeback after a long time and Anil sir is the youngest superstar on our set. He is a legend but his energy and his youthfulness are very inspiring. We got along like a family. Ever since we reached Chandigarh, when we shot the film, we never felt there is seniority or hierarchy. He would call us to his room to eat. We celebrated his birthday. We celebrated Diwali and Christmas on sets. He kept everyone together – not just the cast but also the crew members,” the actress said. 

Talking about the fitness regimen of the stars, Kiara said that while Varun is a gym junkie, Anil would work out twice every day. “Anil Sir would wake up one hour before all of us and start running and jogging. He would never miss a workout. He would do it twice – before and after shooting. Anil Sir’s lifestyle is so clean and so fit that he leaves us in awe. The other day we were at promotion and we started dancing to a Neetu ma’am song, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. We all were panting and sir was going on and on. And at his age, it is commendable. Meanwhile, Varun is a gym junkie,” the actress said.

Varun and Kiara were in Kolkata recently to promote Jugjugg Jeeyo. The duo was seen to have enjoyed a yellow taxi ride and rumball at Flury’s.
