Three days prior, Excel Entertainment, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar's production house, unveiled the news that renowned actress Kiara Advani has joined the cast of the director's upcoming film, Don 3. However, the announcement video refrained from disclosing any details regarding her role in the movie. Since September 2023, rumours were rife that Kiara Advani would likely play a key role in Don 3. Three days ago, the news was officially confirmed. Speaking about the development, Kiara in a press statement today expressed, “I think it is a conscious decision. I wanted to do something different. I wanted to change it up for myself, and this was one genre that I was longing to get myself into. And that's what's exciting, right? As an actor, you are constantly stepping into different characters and making the world believe that that's who you are.”
“There will be a tough prep for the film, but I have got time to do that. I am very excited, and I have never done action sequences in a movie. Now it is my time to get some action in," she said.
This development comes months after Ranveer Singh in Koffee with Karan Season 7 (2022) expressed his desire to work with Kiara Advani.
