Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep is not only one of the most widely followed actors from Sandalwood on social media, but is also quite active on the platforms, especially Twitter, where he often engages in conversations with fans and other celebrities, and occasionally voices his opinion on issues or films he may have liked. By the tone and style of his tweets it is evident that Sudeep handles his Twitter account himself. His social media feed, so far, has been about messages he types, promotional posters or Youtube links, at the most.
That’s changed now. Last night, Sudeep recorded and uploaded his first-ever reel. Interestingly, he did this in response to his Vikrant Rona co-star Jacqueline Fernandez’s request to do the Gadang Rakkamma song hook step. Gadang Rakkamma is the first single from the Anup Bhandari directorial that has been released in the run up to the film’s theatrical outing. Composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath, with Kannada lyrics by the director himself, Gadang Rakkamma has been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Nakash Aziz. The team has released a lyrical video of the song, which features fleeting images and visuals of the actual song, including the hook step to the line ‘Ra… Ra… Rakkamma’, which has been choreographed by Jani master.

Vikrant Rona is all set to release in 3D in theatres across the country on July 28. The film, made originally in Kannada, has been dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and English as well. Produced by Shalini and Manjunath Gowda of Shalini Artss and co-produced by Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origin, the film also stars Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok in pivotal roles. Called Phantom when it was first launched, the film got a title change later, which was announced with a reveal event on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It was then slated to release in February this year, but was pushed ahead at a time when there was still no clarity on when 100% occupancy would be allowed in movie halls.
